Part Three and a Bengal Up a Tree

Okay, I had to do that. For the first time ever, I got to see Clarence, one of the members of the Clarence & Gypsy duo, trying to climb a tree early this morning before work. My heart was literally in my throat watching this and I was totally stoked to have been able to witness this firsthand! Guess the early bird does get the worm....or in this case, the tree!

As always, I would like to state that all these pictures posted here are the sole property of me and the Tigerhomes Sanctuary. I took these pictures myself off the website cams, and I do ask respectfully, that you not take them and use on any other website without the permission of Tigerhomes Sanctuary. You too can take all the pics you want for your own collection for a small donation which will entitle you to view the sanctuaries webcams. Your donation goes straight to the Tigerhomes Sanctuary and is always needed and very much appreciated. You can visit them for more information at www.tigerhomes.org .

Just After Sunset

Before, when my work schedule permitted this, I could often be found at the same place just about the same time every evening. I always love checking out the White Tigers cam number 4, just after Sunset and I have gotten some amazing and breathtaking pics this way. So yes, I'm a sucker for Miami sunsets, even though I live hundreds of miles away in Tennessee. I do hope to one day visit and get to take some "Real" pics of their awesome sunsets.

White Tiger Nights

Recently, the Tigerhomes cam members were treated to a special night viewing of Tundra & Loki's habitat. Many of us saw this for the first time ever and were totally awed by what we got to see.

Tundra Puddle

Here is an awesome sight and you would have to see our girl, Tundra and you would know what I mean. She is the female white tiger that shares a habitat at the sanctuary with Loki, the male white tiger. Tundra seems to enjoy the rain a bit more than Loki, and here she is seen laying in a puddle after a recent afternoon thunderstorm.

Up, Up, and Away We Go.......

Here I was very lucky to have gotten a shot of one of the two Cougars currently housed at the sanctuary, getting ready to jump up on the deck for an afternoon nap.

Black & White Lemur

The Sanctuary is home to several Black & White lemurs and here's a close up pic I took from one of the many live Cams that the website has to offer. The site recently switched to paid cam viewing, but is at a low cost and still the best value anywhere else on the net. There are many day-to-day expenses involved in operating any website, but the cost is tremendous for keeping the webcams up and operating, with some running 24/7/365. Members can take snapshots of all the animal residents that are currently on cam. For more details, please go check them out at www.tigerhomes.org .

Midnight Move

Midnight, the Tigerhomes Sanctuary Black Leopard resident, recently was moved into a new habitat putting her beside, the Male African leopard, Sampson. They are slowing being introduced to one another and will remain side by side anywhere from several months on up to a year and eventually be habitat "mates". Here you see the owner of the sanctuary, David, along with Jason, the assistant director of the sanctuary, carrying Midnight into her new home. They will keep a constant eye on the girl to make sure her transition into her new Home will be a successful and "stressfree" experience.

After the Move

Here we see Midnight shortly after she left her carrier as she took her first steps into her new habitat. She was slightly medicated to help ease into the move and was never in any danger. This was done by Jason, the assistant director of the sanctuary, who is more than highly qualified and has years of experience working with and specializing in exotic Wildlife.

Successful Move to New Habitat

I was lucky enough to get a shot of Midnight, along with Jason, the Tigerhomes Sanctuary assistant director with the owner, David, in the background, keeping a watchful eye on our Girl.

Keeping A Watchful Eye On Our Girl

Here we have a pic of Midnight with the sanctuaries Assistant Director, close by making sure she is okay and back to her self after the mild relaxer she was given to help ease the transition into her new habitat. This was done more for the sake of Midnight than for the movers, as this greatly reduces any stress she might've had at the time.

Midnight has a New Home

Here is our girl, Midnight walking around checking out her new home. She couldn't be in better hands!

Newest Addition

I couldn't have a part three of my Tigerhomes Sanctuary blog without including their newest addition. Here's a pic of the owners newest addition to the family, Goliath! Isn't he a Sweetheart?!
